Going Out
Our Montessori 'Going Out' program is an integral aspect of our practical life curriculum that bridges classroom learning with the broader community at our International school in Riga. These excursions, which range from pairs to small groups of no more than five, foster peer collaboration and are carefully crafted to enhance the educational experience.
Whether it's a visit to a local embassy to deepen their understanding of a social studies topic or a trip to the stationery store to procure art supplies, each outing is purposefully chosen to develop students' independence and decision-making skills.
Parent volunteers often assist with transportation, and with explicit parental consent, older students can embark on these supervised adventures with just a cellphone, allowing them the freedom to explore and learn within their community with confidence and responsibility at our Montessori preschool in Riga .
