

Alona Zmitrovich
Alona is from Latvia and began her journey as a Montessori teacher and loved it so much that she decided to open her very own Montessori school. Then she loved that so much that she opened 2 more! Alona holds an MBA in Business Adminstration, a Master's in Education, and a Montessori Diploma in Ages 3-6 Education from AMI - Munich, Germany. She is currently completing her Master's Certificate in IB Education.

Samantha Poe-Azatova
Samantha is from the United States and has been teaching in international schools for 11 years in Chile and Latvia. She holds a Master's in Education from the University of Maryland, a Master's Certificate in IB Education from the University of Windsor, and she is completing her Ages 9-12 Montessori Diploma at European Montessori Centre in Oslo, Norway. A language lover through and through, Samantha speaks Spanish, French, Russian, and is currently learning Latvian!

Katarzyna Cudny
Katarzyna is from Poland and has been teaching preschool internationally for the past 12 years in both Polish and English. She holds a Master's Degree in Speech Therapy along with a Montessori Diploma in Ages 3-6 Education from the Polish Montessori Institute. She also has the distinction of having taught her own child in her class! She likes theater as well as Israeli dance.

Mary Sowndarya
Mary is from India and has been teaching Montessori both locally and international for over 8 years. She holds a Bachelors in Biotechnology and a Montessori Certificate in Ages 3-6 Education from AMI - Chennai. She comes with extensive experience as a coordinator and a lead teacher. She was instrumental in developing a Montessori curriculum in two Indian languages along with English to establish a trilingual program.

Zanda Dzērve
Zanda is from Latvia and holds a Bachelor's degree in Preschool Education and a Montessori Diploma from University of Latvia. She has worked both as a preschool teacher and a head of school, but she decided that her true calling was working with kids and transitioned back into the classroom with us! At IMSOL, she has developed the Latvian program for non-native speakers, which allows kids to successfully and joyfully integrate into Latvian society. She loves long nature walks and theatre.

Vickas Dwarknath
Vickas is from India and has been teaching Montessori for 3 years. He holds a Masters in Commerce, as well as a Montessori Certificate in Ages 6-12 Education from AMI- Hyderabad. Before becoming a Montessori teacher, Vickas worked for over two decades in Human Resources and Project Management. He enjoys cooking, keeping fit, and participating in walking tours when traveling.

Alevtina Moroz
Alevtina is from Ukraine and has been teaching at IMSOL for the past 4 years. Alja holds a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and a Master's degree with honors in Philology specializing in Ukrainian language and literature. She has also studied Polish, and at one point translated fiction books from Polish to Ukrainian. In addition to speaking Ukrainian, Russian, and English fluently, she is also learning Latvian. She loves nature, art, and creating things with her hands.

Natalija Anisimova
Natalija is from Russia and holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics and Pedagogy. She has been teaching for over 12 years. This is her second year at IMSOL. She enjoys pilates and stretching, watching documentaries and exploring Riga. She speaks Russian, English, Latvian, and German.

Kseniia Begma
Kseniia brings with her 19 years of international education experience. She holds a B.A. in Education, an M.A. in English Literature, and a Ph.D. in World Literature, along with extensive experience in the IB PYP framework. Outside of school, she facilitates IB workshops for the IB PYP.

Amy Hardbow
Amy holds an AMI Montessori Diploma for ages 3–6, a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University, and a Montessori diploma for ages 0–3. Before transitioning into education, she worked in government administration and earned a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration.

Talisa Badiali
Talisa holds a Master's degree in Linguistics from Università degli Studi di Milano Statale. Her journey to Latvia began as an Erasmus student, where she quickly fell in love with the country and its people. Inspired by her experience, she returned as a long-term volunteer, supporting non-formal education for both youth and children. sonal information

Nana Shermatova
Nana holds a degree in Psychology from the Baltic International Academy and has completed the Orientation Course for ages 6–12 at the Montessori Institute in Prague. Outside the classroom, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and has a strong passion for cinematography. She loves exploring new places and meeting new people, bringing curiosity and enthusiasm to everything she does.

Eftychia Gerakopoulou
Eftychia is an Early Childhood Educator from Greece with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Care from the International Hellenic University and is currently completing her Master's in Early Childhood Education at European University Cyprus. She has experience working with young children in both school and workshop settings. She speaks Greek, English, and a bit of French, and has a passion for traveling and discovering new cultures

Emīlija Ģēvele
Emilija holds a Bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences with a specialization in Social Pedagogy. Her previous experience includes working with teenagers and first graders in both educational and social support roles. She is excited to expand her experience by working with younger children and looks forward to supporting their growth and development in the classroom.
